i’ve been putting it off for so long, but finally watched city of life and death today, otherwise known as nanjing! nanjing! needless to say i cried from the beginning to the end, the history is so cruel. i know this was all in the past, that the world has changed, that we’re still here and living.. but i just feel so horrible. all i can think about is that i wish the massacre never happened, that those people weren’t killed so mercilessly, and that the history will never ever get repeated again.
you’ve made it through all these ups and downs,
happy birthday motherland.

「YUI: Winter Hot Music」

it’s getting cold and rainy again, and i really hate it. i don’t know if i dislike rain or snow more, i wish its sunny all the time, and only rain in farmlands & places that need it, cause i don’t need any )=
something i’ve been dying over recently:

preserved veggie & minced meat moon cakes
i’ve never had this kind of southern moon cakes before, but from the first time i heard about them i started drooling! preserved veggie and meat in fluffy pastry just sounds so perfect
i need to get my hands on some (hopefully) this mid-autumn

「YUI: Never say die」

i know its been a while already D:
but thank you stupid-orechou-canadian-san
ive been back to work for three weeks now, everything is the same, absolutely nothing changed! so i guess… its really not a bad thing =p life is back to the same old can’t-get-more-regular-than-this-schedule once again, but at least im on a proper sleeping pattern again

kenzo ramen opened up a new store downtown, i went there one day after work. it was the first time that i had the whole boat of takoyaki to myself, that meal was so satisfying
also went to visit this lamb skewers place in pacific mall that ive been drooling over since in waterloo & it didn’t let me down, tasted a lot more similar to the super yummy ones i used to have in china
stella came to toronto for the weekend, we went to yorkdale mall yesterday (i had to take 6 diff buses/subways to get there D:), and tried out the sugar for dinner.

these little milk cubes are soooo good
they were very milky & creamy but not too sweet, i love love love them!

black sesame paste

smelly fried tofu, they were really smelly but really good, especially dipped in hot sauce

this was really good too! there were fruits & pudding jelly & ice cream in this mango sago sauce, i really liked the sauce
