montreal
「YUI: Namidairo」 
i went to montreal last thursday, got back home sunday night. its a really pretty city, the streets and buildings look quite different from the ones in toronto. the food is great, especially the desserts 
i had a lot of fun 
day one
it was a 5-6 hours drive from toronto to montreal, i slept the whole time when we got there it was already 5pm, so after settling down we went out to eat. before leaving toronto, i spent a whole afternoon looking up places to eat in montreal, one of the most famous eats i found is a smoked meat store called schwartz’s
the smoked meat here completely beats all other smoked meats everywhere else, it was sooo yummy 
too bad they don’t have any other locations 
there is always a really long lineup outside the store… after dinner we walked around boulevard saint-laurent, and i found this crepe place
i bought my crepe in french, haha! got the fraise royale, yummy yummy

day two
the plan for the day was to visit the two big churches in the city: 1. basilique notre-dame de montréal & 2. l’oratoire saint-joseph du mont-royal. across from the basilica was bmo’s montreal headquarter, loll!
it was all golden and shiny inside the basilica, a lot of pretty details i wasn’t able to capture with my camera
there were a lot of these pretty carriages around
at the saint-joseph oratory, it was huge, but not as pretty as the basicila..
saw these crutches in a small shrine beside the oratory, apparently many people came to the oratory in these crutches, but when they left they no longer needed them, so they were left here
had buffet at vichy for lunch, and when we were heading back, i went back to schwartz’s and got another smoked meat sandwich, its just so good! 
day three
the third day we went up to mont-royal, it wasn’t a big mountain, more like a little hill, but i guess it has some great significance to the city.
then i went all over the place buying food and desserts xD
crème brûlée from au pain doré, so rich and creamy and good!
i looked up this place called la maison du macaron, the little macarons are so tiny and so cute! it was my first time seeing these in person! xD
the box i took home, they were really yummy as well
chicken & fries meal from romado’s, and portuguese egg tart after lunch, we spent the afternoon in the biodome
day four
left montreal in the morning heading home, it was a pretty hectic day. we first went to ottawa and toured parliament hill, saw this neat fountain there, fire on the top and water running on the bottom
then we went to kingston and got on a cruise of the thousand islands, the scenery were so pretty!
one of the islands had this pirate flag on it! almost every island have people living on it, i was waving at some of them when passing by and they waved back 
the four day road trip ended there and we headed back to toronto. just a little sad now that i can’t eat the smoked meat anymore, i miss it so much!
